St Wistan's Worship

Worship at St Wistan’s Church

The size of the church means that St Wistan’s has a very intimate and welcoming feel. Worship here is in the Liberal Catholic tradition. The Eucharist is at the heart of our worship, but is celebrated in a quiet, simple way, with vestments but no incense.

MONTHLY PATTERN OF SERVICES:

EVERY SUNDAY 8.30am : Eucharist

This is a said service with hymns and a sermon.  It lasts about forty-five minutes and attracts a lively and welcoming congregation.

and in addition:

2nd SUNDAY OF THE MONTH 10.15am : "SAINTS ALIVE" All Age Worship

A popular informal, non-eucharistic service for all the family, with hymns and songs and a brief, simple address or children’s activity. This is an ideal introduction to the life of the church if you are a newcomer.

WEEKDAY SERVICES

EVERY THURSDAY 9.30am : Said Eucharist

A simple, quiet  celebration of the Eucharist (CW Order One)  lasting about half an hour, usually with a short address.
