From the clergy (Updated 6th August 2020)

We plan to re-start worship at St Thomas' South Wigston from 9th August at 10am. For more information, please click information about St Thomas' services

Following the latest risk assessment at All Saints,, Wigston Magna we are making some final adjustments and preparations for re-opening, and hope that worship there will be able to re-commence within the next couple of weeks. We will post more information on this website and on the Facebook page, and will also write to those members of the electoral roll whom we believe to be without internet access, to give details of the re-opening and also to advise on what to expect and how to prepare, as things will need to be different.

If you have any concerns or questions or would like to discuss any other spiritual or pastoral matters, please contact one of the clergy using the contact details found below.

Meanwhile, the life of the church continues, regardless.

On the Worship Resources page you will find a number of worship resources which we hope will be of help and encouragement to you at this difficult time.

Fr Trevor and Fr Chris continue to celebrate the eucharist every Sunday at 10.00am for and on behalf of all our regular worshippers and parishes. We invite you to join with us in spirit at that time by using the Sermon, Collect and Readings for the day and using the ‘Spiritual Communion’ resource which can be found on the Worship resources page

Morning and Evening Prayer continues to be said Monday to Friday at 9.00am and 5.00pm respectively by the clergy and some of our church members using the on-line ‘app’ ZOOM. Anyone with internet access is welcome to join us. For further information on how to do so, please contact Fr Chris.

We continue to be available to offer support via telephone and email whenever that may be helpful and we will keep you updated with further information as and when we’re able to.

Updated information will be made regularly available through:

Facebook: ‘The Wigston Benefice’

and our e-mailing list. To sign up visit: tinyletter.com/stthomas-sw
