Not a Tame Lion: a course based on the writings of  C.S. Lewis
C.S. Lewis (1898 – 1963) was one of the great Christian writers and thinkers of the twentieth century. This Lent course, which is loosely based on one written by Hilary Brand, will draw on his famous book The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, along with the play Shadowlands, a drama that looks at Lewis’s life. Using clips from films of both the novel and the play, and passages of Scripture, we will consider topics such as suffering, God’s absence, hell, sin, judgement and ‘the devil’. C.S. Lewis’s Aslan in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is not a tame lion; he challenges and provokes. Likewise, Jesus challenges us, too. This course will make us think about issues we may find uncomfortable, but in a supportive and secure space.

Quiet Day: Saturday 27th February 10am – 4pm.  Register here for Zoom link for addresses.
