St Thomas' Choir

Music has always been an integral part of life for St Thomas’ since the church was consecrated in 1893. At present, we do not have a Director of Music and the choir is running on an adult singers only basis, but please check back for further updates. The choir has a history of mixed voices however in the 1960s the musical tradition was shaped to concentrate upon an all-male tradition of trebles & Songmen. Since 2017 the choir has recruited women once again. Historically, the choir has been active in its work of participating in choir festivals and visiting choir trips up and down the land, including: Westminster Abbey, York Minster and Durham & Canterbury Cathedrals.
