    Welcome to the Wigston Benefice

Please bear with us whilst we give our website a bit of a revamp!

    However...

We're delighted that you've dropped by for a 'virtual visit' and we hope that  the clergy team   may get the opportunity to welcome you in person to one of our churches sometime soon.

Here you will be able to read something about the life of our three churches : All Saints and St Wistan's in the parish of Wigston Magna, and St Thomas the Apostle in the parish of South Wigston.

Each church has its own special ethos, but stand within a modern, 'inclusive catholic' tradition.

Most of our worship centres on the Eucharist or Mass and we normally use the Church of England's most recent prayer book 'Common Worship'. Our congregations are faithful, open and welcoming, and we would be delighted to see you at any of our services or events. If you'd like to enquire about a christening or a wedding, please click here

If you can't find the information you require here, do please get in touch using the contact details on the site, and we'll do our best to help you. Better still, why not just 'come and see'?

Thanks again for visiting our website.

    Access to Church Buildings

Regrettably, it's not possible at present for us to leave our church buildings open all the time. The best way to see them is to join us for worship, however at other times:

All Saints is often open on a Thursday morning and a Saturday morning until about 12 noon. Keep an eye out for the ‘Church Open’ sign.

St Thomas' can be visited by arrangement.

Sadly, St Wistan's is temporarily closed due to structural issues but is also currently under consultation for the possible closure for public worship. Latest updates are available here
